About the Author
March is co-founder of Aquarius Workshops, Inc. and Aspects magazine. She lead a busy life of counseling, teaching, lecturing, and writing.
Born and raised in Chicago where she majored inart and worked as a model and illustrator for an art studio, she moved to the Los Angeles area in 1948 and continued her professional career in the sales field. This is where she met her husband Dean and raised their children.
Self-taught, Joan began her serious study of astrology in 1965 and in 1969 studied with Ruth Hale Oliver. About this time she started to counsel and teach astrology. She has since achieved an international reputation as a teacher and lecturer, speaking for many groups in the U.S. and Canada. An AFAN coordinator and mamber of NCGR, her articles have been published in several national and international astrological magazines.

A Good Introductory Text

The Only Way to Learn About Tomorrow is the fourth volume in the March and McEvers' "The Only Way to Learn Astrology" book series. This text covers Secondary Progressions and Solar Arc Directions. The authors also review Transits and discuss such things as Lunations and Eclipses, Cycles of the Planets (which includes a brief look at Saturn's Cycle also known as the Saturn Return), Solar Returns and the Lunar Return Chart. Transit studies are further explained through a review of its impact on Vincent Van Gogh's natal chart. The full scope of Progressions, Directions, Transits and more are explained through a review of Margaret Thatcher's natal chart. The Lunar Return Chart is discussed through the examples of Natalie Wood and Robert Wagner's natal charts.
This book series, in general, has a very good Table of Contents, which helps you navigate through these topics with greater ease. In the back of the book, they provide color charts for the examples that they use throughout their text. This is a handy feature because it helps you to separate transits, progressions and directions with greater ease from natal aspects in bi-wheel and tri-wheel charts. Color charts are available for natal chart examples on: Betty Ford, Rock Hudson, Henry Kissinger, Natalie Wood, Robert Wagner and Margaret Thatcher.
This book was originally published in 1988 and remains a good learning source to introduce these key concepts. However, as with most introductory texts that cover broad ranges of topics, great depth is not an option, which means more supplementary reading is needed should you wish to learn more. Nonetheless, as a starting point, their explanations are good and they walk you through the lessons by applying the concepts to sample natal charts. Their writing style is direct and lucid. I recommend this text as a good starting point.

This book has 13 lessons : secondary progressions, the progressed moon, planets changing directions, solar arc directions, progressions and directions, the changing ascendant and sun, transits, transits in actions, lunations and eclipses, cycles, solar returns, lunar return, putting it all together.
I found very useful and accurate the indicators for marriage, children and pregnacy, profession, job change, home change, death, divorce, health for the delienation of solar returns. I have never found anywhere else a lot of useful rules and details for the solar returns.
Marion D. March&Joan McEvers share their experiences after years of reading charts with the readers, valuable informations with detailed descriptions, rules for interpretations, explaining notes and examples. It's a mix of theory and practice for different forecasting techniques.
I have already read 5 volumes of these authors' collection. I highly reccomend all their books.
